Lordy Lordy

We recently celebrated younger brother and sister's 40th birthday. Sister was in Capri, we were in Arkansas. Brother got a Wii Fit that we all played with and made the funny video below. That is my nephew hoola-hooping, please...pay no attention to Spike in the backgroud if you can!

Mother's Day

This morning the kids and Hubby made me heart shaped pancakes and presented home made presents. Simple and loving...perfect. The card below was made by DS out of paper that he made and a haiku that he wrote. DD made a sweet book, here is the cover and an exerpt Click on them to see them larger.

Where the heart is

We have been looking at houses lately, some within our means and some just for fantasizing. We are outgrowing our sweet little box, but I can't help but love it. We brought both of the kids home here after their births. Mamaw Bert and Gramma Berry were both here to cradle dear Son as a baby. Hubby built us a fine deck out back to wile away warm days and nights. The flower beds are full of flowers lovingly tended to over the years. I have lived in this house longer than any other in my lifetime. It's funny how I change my mind about leaving it from day to day. When I am wading through each crowded room and waiting for my turn in the bathroom I dream of more space. Today, I love this little house and chase away the thoughts of leaving it.

Deck Visitor

DS came home from school last week and found this visitor on the back deck. He says Spike the fearless poodle protected him from harm. We haven't seen the raccoon since.

Happy Trails

During the kids recent Spring Break I took them horseback riding in Hot Springs. They rode ahead of me and I was in the back on a spirited mare who kept trying to break out of line. I took a little video to share, take into account that I did it while riding a horse and with one hand!

Easter Traditions

We go to Mom and Dad's every year for Easter weekend. The kids dye eggs, they discover their baskets Easter morning, we get dressed up for church, then have lunch together. I believe it is important to give the kids this tradition. It's amazing how fast a year passes. Some day these opp ortunities will be gone, so I cherish these times. Last year Mom and Dad were in Europe and we missed getting together. It just wasn't the same. Here are some pictures from last weekend and Easters past.

I've got the world on a string...

Hubby and I celebrated our anniversary this month by having a delicious dinner at the Terrace and catching Micheal Buble in concert. It was a wonderful evening. Grant took our picture before we went out, and I caught a little video clip during the concert.
